Ciaphas Cain : Vaine Gloriole (French)

Book 11 of the Ciaphas Cain series

Ciaphas Cain is nearing retirement, but his fate will, of course, drag him into the twists and turns of a web of deceit and corruption, laced with an unfortunate amount of mortal peril. This time, it’s the Adeptus Mechanicus that throws a wrench in the works of his future plans for rest and relaxation.

WHY READ THIS BOOK

The hilarious saga of this reluctant hero continues—packed with all the action, wit, and escapades you’d expect from Ciaphas and his comrades.

THE STORY

When the flow of weapons from a newly founded Forge World begins to dry up, and faced with the desperate needs of the Astra Militarum, there is only one man (barely) capable and (reluctantly) willing to investigate… Ciaphas Cain, Hero of the Imperium.

With his long-coveted retirement in sight, the most reluctant of the Imperium’s commissars must navigate a web of insidious assassination attempts against his august person, legions of seditious skitarii, and heresy within the very upper echelons of the Adeptus Mechanicus itself… and a hidden adversary pulling the strings, whose aims could threaten the future of Imperial law in the Gulf of Damocles.
