WHY READ THIS BOOK

Twenty years after the fan-favorite Two-Headed Eagle, Dan Abnett returns to the Aeronautica Imperialis universe in this eagerly-awaited sequel. Follow the adventures of a former ace fighter forced out of her comfortable “retirement” and back into the thick of aerial combat.

THE STORY

For former ace pilot Bree Jagdea, the days of tense, hair-raising aerial combat are long gone. She now considers herself retired and content to fly refueling missions as part of the war effort. Yet when enemy forces begin a relentless campaign of bombardment of the Vesperus hive, Jagdea is recalled by Aeronautica and stationed with Circus 66 squadron, infamous for its suicidal missions and high-risk intercepts throughout Vesperus.

Plunged once again into a world where the slightest mistake means death, will Jagdea be able to outwit the enemy Aces, secure Vesperus for the Imperium and return home with her sanity intact?

Written by Dan Abnett.
