Dataslate Grey 1: the darkest shade in a five-shade color progression

Designed for both beginner and experienced miniature painters, Dataslate Grey 1 serves as the starting point for the Dataslate Grey color progression. Its dark gray tone allows you to emphasize shadowed areas, define volumes, and create sharp contrasts, particularly on armor, mechanical parts, and scenery.

The Warhammer Tone Pro system offers five complementary shades to easily achieve harmonious gradients:

• Dataslate Grey 1: the darkest shade for deep shadows.
• Dataslate Grey 2: a dark shade for initial transitions.
• Dataslate Grey 3: a mid-tone for the main forms.
• Dataslate Grey 4: a light shade for initial highlights.
• Dataslate Grey 5: the lightest shade for bright highlights.

This intuitive color progression allows you to master contrasts and reveal the forms of your miniatures with precision.

A versatile paint for all your miniature painting techniques

Thanks to its high concentration of fine pigments, Dataslate Grey 1 offers excellent coverage from the very first coat, on both light and dark undercoats. Its self-leveling formula makes it easy to apply directly from the jar and ensures a uniform finish.
